Role Summary
We are looking for a passionate and driven Junior IoT Engineer to join our team on-site. In this role, you will support the development, deployment, and maintenance of IoT systems that power AlProtein’s smart cultivation and production infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity for a tech-savvy problem solver who wants to make an impact in the sustainable food tech space.

Key Responsibilities
- Design & Development:
- Assist in the design and implementation of IoT systems for monitoring parameters such as temperature, salinity, light, pH, and nutrient levels.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work with R&D and Operations teams to gather technical requirements and implement sensor-based solutions.
- System Maintenance:
- Maintain and troubleshoot IoT hardware and firmware (ESP32, Raspberry Pi, etc.).
- Data Management:
- Support data acquisition, processing, and real-time visualization through dashboards and monitoring tools.
- Testing & Integration:
- Perform testing and validation for hardware components and communication protocols (MQTT, HTTP, LoRa).
- System Optimization:
- Contribute to optimizing system performance for scalability, security, and reliability.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- Technical Skills:
- 2+ years of experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, ESP32).
- Programming knowledge in Python, C/C++, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with MQTT, HTTP, or LoRa protocols.
- Understanding of networking principles and edge-cloud architecture (preferred).
- Tools & Platforms:
- Exposure to AWS IoT, Azure IoT, GCP, or visualization tools such as Grafana and Power BI is a plus.
- Mindset:
